WSU at Oklahoma

OU 12, WSU 11, a final: Another painful loss for the Shockers. They led 10-7 in the ninth and 11-10 in the 10th. OU wins it on a two-run double by Mike Gosse off WSU freshman Justin Kemp.

WSU 8, OU 6, bottom of the sixth: Conor Gillaspie drives in three with a triple.

OU 5, WSU 3 after four: Spencer Selby hit a three-run homer in the fourth off Kelley. He got it up into the wind for his seventh of the season. All five Sooner runs scored with two outs.

WSU 3, OU 2 after three: Kelley records his first inning without a runner on against the top of OU’s order.
WSU 3, OU 2 in the third: OU pulled Hubbard after Clinton McKeever’s third RBI. C.J. Blue, a lefty, replaces him with one out, McKeever on second and a 2-0 count to Workman.

WSU 2, OU 2 after one: Hubbard fell behind the first three batters 3-0 and paid for it. WSU starter Tim Kelley worked ahead and got two outs without incident. Then he gave up three straight hits and two runs.

Josh Workman is in the lineup tonight. He will hit sixth and I’m sure the return of his .330 average is a happy sight for the Shockers. Tyler Hill will start in left tonight for the first time this season. The wind may make that a challenge. Kenny Williams is in center and Ryan Jones in left.

WSU second baseman Josh Workman may play tonight. Coach Gene Stephenson wants a chance to watch him in BP before making a decision. He is taking groundballs now. His return, tonight or this weekend, would be a shot of good news for a team that needs it.

OU is starting right-hander Antwonie Hubbard. He is a redshirt freshman with a 1-0 record and a 2.08 ERA. Hubbard last pitched April 22 against TCU, when he started and gave up two hits and no earned runs in five innings. He struck out three and walked four.

Windy and sunny day in Norman. The wind is blowing hard out to left.
