ST. PAUL — As expected, all 39 Kansas delegates at 10:45 p.m. tonight cast their votes to nominate Sen. John McCain for president despite former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s easy victory in the Kansas caucuses earlier this year.
With a nod to the University of Kansas Jayhawk’s NCAA basketball championship and a staunch voting record for Republican presidents dating back to 1964, Republican Party Chairman Kris Kobach announced McCain represents Kansas values.

As it shoud be…!!!
I wonder how, in good faith, these delegates can support McCain when he has a poor record for supporting veterans. Non-partisan veterans groups have rated the candidates:
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America:
McCain: D
Obama: B+
Disabled American Veterans:
For the 109th congress second session (2006)
McCain: 20% approval rating
Obama: 80% approval rating
(please see their websites)
Vets are committing suicide in record numbers, having difficulty obtaining their benefits, and the medical and psychological help. Yet John McCain fails to support them. How will anyone choose to put “Country First” in the future, if the country will not support the troops and veterans now?
