Moore: Second Bush ‘a different story’

DENVER — One Bush doesn’t equal another, U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore told Kansas delegates to the Democratic National Convention here.
At the daily delegation breakfast, Moore said he felt that President George H. W. Bush, although he was from the other party and had different ideas, had been an honorable opponent and thoughtful leader of the country.
“The first President Bush, I didn’t agree with him on everything, (but) he was a real president, you know what I mean,” Moore said. “This son is a different story.”
Moore was harshly critical of the current president Bush on foreign policy especially the Iraq War that has led to the deaths of more than 4,000 U.S. troops.
He said the younger Bush has made a bad international situation worse with an attitude that other nations “better do things our way or else.”
He said that has squandered the worldwide sympathy and support the United States gained after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Gee, that’s funny. When asked about why he does not support needed tax reform such as the FairTax, Moore cites Bush–yes, George W. Bush’s Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform. He may not agree with W on foreign policy, but he definitely agrees with him on taxes. Moore stands for Moore Complexity in your Taxes. He talks about tax simplification on his website, but what has he actually done about the problem? Nothing. Let’s send him to early retirement with the rest of the incumbents in Congress come November.
