We made it to camp at mid-day and the setting is all a hunter could possibly desire.
The leaves are turning bright yellow and blood-red. The temperature is in the mid-50s, there’s a slight breeze and gentle drizzle.
Chris and I are set in a warm cabin about 100 yards from the main lodge.
Tomorrow we’ll be hunting about an hour from here, spending all day in the woods, even cooking lunches at the truck.
The only downside is that breakfast is at 4 a.m. That’s means a 3:30 a.m. wake-up – EASTERN time.
Hopefully I’ll have some great pics and a story or two tomorrow night.
