he’s not a local guy, and they have only used a true local umpire a few times, and that has stopped since very early in the season.

Jeff, I appreciated your note in today’s paper regarding the umpire crews: That only two of the three are actually FT umps with the AA and that the third is a local fill-in. That actually furthers my belief that indy baseball, especially the Wingnut brand, is cheap (for increased ticket prices over the Double A Wranglers, fans get no souvenir cups and must endure regular appearances by a goofy “bat man” bat boy and the quarter carat diamond dolls, to name three). But getting back to the umps, there’s one question that I didn’t see answered: is Blake Felix an AA FT ump or a local fill-in?
