I’m kind of giddy. This whole ride has been quite the experience - I can only imagine how it must feel to be one of the players in tonight’s game. Seventy-five minutes before the opening tip, the Memphis kids stroll in, looking loose and confident. Around the same time, off the court, KU football coach Mark Mangino trots in. I think Lew Perkins just kissed Sam Ryan on the cheek. I hoping this one is a classic, but I don’t think it will play out that way. No prediction, per se, just the understanding that these Championship Mondays are often anti-climactic. When was the last real classic?
Anyway, I’ve got some pictures from walking around the Riverwalk today. Nothing great, but I’ll post one:

I’m also going to bite an idea from my pal Ryan Greene at the Lawrence Journal-World - I’m planning to capture random stuff on my camera phjone that strikes my fancy (who says that?) and share with you, the 14 people who read this blog. Enjoy.

Ryan did local sports for the Hartford, CT NBC station while Lew was the AD at Uconn. Thank you KU for beating Cal and his band of thugs.
