Monday K-State links

– Kansas State had two players earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors this morning. Linebacker Arthur Brown, who made eight tackles and came up with a key interception against Baylor on Saturday, earned defensive honors. And kicker Anthony Cantele, who connected on three field goals against the Bears, earned special teams honors.

Last week Tre Walker was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his contributions to K-State’s goal-line stand in the closing moments at Miami. So this is quite a nice run of success for the Wildcats.

– The Big 12 announced its TV schedule for Oct. 15. K-State will take on Texas Tech in Lubbock at 6 p.m. on FSN.

– USAToday thinks Bill Snyder is an oldie, but a goodie.

– After a 4-0 start, David Ubben of ESPN.com believes K-State is headed for the Holiday Bowl.
