Corey Adams knows the odds are against him.
It’s not everyday that a NFL team decides to use a draft pick on a long snapper. Sure, it’s happened before. But most teams would rather wait until the draft ends and acquire specialists as undrafted free agents.
Still, Adams, who was as dependable as they come on punts and kicks during his time at Kansas State, is hoping to hear his name called in the late rounds of this week’s NFL Draft.
For what it’s worth, Wildcats coach Bill Snyder thinks that might happen.
“He’s as good as I’ve been around, and I’ve never said that about anybody, I don’t think,” Snyder said. “He’s awfully good.”
