K-State vs. Syracuse on the hardwood?

In his pregame news conference here at the Pinstripe Bowl, Kansas State athletic director John Currie said he has been in discussions with Syracuse administrators about playing a future basketball series with the Orange.

He would not say how far along those discussions are, but said ideally they would agree to a two-game series with games being played on neutral courts at Madison Square Garden and the Sprint Center.

New York is a big recruiting area for K-State basketball coach Frank Martin, and four current Wildcats are from the Big Apple and surrounding areas. A future series with Syracuse would give Martin the chance to take many of them home for a game.
