Update on Patton, Houlik

According to Kansas State sports information director Kenny Lannou, junior running back Leon Patton remains indefinitely suspended. The key here is that Patton won’t be allowed to participate in fall camp, which officially begins Monday.

Junior linebacker John Houlik, who was arrested this morning on a DUI charge, is also serving an indefinite suspension. But Lannou didn’t mention Houlik not being able to practice, which likely means the Wichita native will do so.

- JOHN Houlik was arrested early this morning. Read about it here. It’s the second K-State football arrest in the last 25 days. A trend? Hardly. But, on the eve of the 2008 season, it can’t be viewed as a good thing. And for Houlik, with the addition of so many linebackers, this can’t help his competitive situation.
