I noticed in another article just recently written that Coach Martin was indeed at his game in the Florida area at the end of July. I really hope we can get a visit from this kid. He would be a huge pickup. With his addition our roster would have Clemente, Pullen, Brown, MacGruder, and Boynton and the guard spots. Sutton, Samuels, and Kelly at the 3-spot. Anderson, Judge, Herrera, Colon as the bigs....sounds pretty good to me. A large step from where we were just a few years ago

Do we have a shot? Can we pay him more than Florida? I know we can't pay more than Texas... but who REALLY wants to go to Texas?

Jeff,

Boynton also mentions K-State as a leader in a July 8, Kevin Armstrong article for CNNSI. He again mentioned K-State as a leader to Hoopmasters.com on July 11th. No doubt that K-State is in the mix.

You could see a scenario in which Boynton would find the situation at K-State attractive. The team he would join would be very talented, (7 former top 100 highschool players not including him) very expierenced (4 SRs 4 JRs) and yet, he could still step in and be the feature guy right away.

That said, the competition is steep. Being in the final 7 doesn't give you great odds even if the other six aren't elite level programs. Hard to say for sure how legit our odds are, but we've gotten 5 commitments from former Rivals 5-star players in the three years since Wooly was fired. We've been listed with a dozen others. This really shouldn't come as a suprise anymore.

It does seem like a long shot. Its great if he really is considering us, but Martin and co. will probably have to do a bit more winning without Beasley in order to keep landing recruits like this. As of now I don't see it happening, Boynton that is.

I could really use a "I talked to 'Te the other day...." kind of update on Boynton, otherwise, highly unlikely KSU gets him.

Witherspoon prolly would have been a better comparison than Kadji imo. Kadji obtained myscommit status and is thus a better comparison with Lat Will.
