I think Frank must have the feeling the Lat Williams wasn’t a sure thing and rather than pass on Kelly, he signed him.

My problem is the lack of guards on this team. Clemente, Pullen, Buchi and Brown are the only outside shooters. Not much depth and the only scholarships available in 09 are already filled with McGruder and Judge. We have too much depth at the 4-5 and no one behind Sutton at the 3. If we don’t have a solid 3-pt shooter step up, we’re in trouble.

2009-10 season we’ll have Herrera, Colon, Henriquez, Anderson, Samuels, and Judge at the 4-5. Can Samuels or Judge play the 3 at 6′8″?

Do we know why Kelly was so ineffective at UConn? Was it just a matter of butting heads with Coach Calhoun? He seems to have the size and background to be quite a presence.

If Lat wants to come here, I have to assume we’ll find a way. Abdul Herrera maybe has agreed to play without a ship if needed?

So then next year we get Bennett’s scholarship back along with Kent’s and we’re done with McGruder and Judge correct? i.e. no Lat Williams, Unless someone else leaves.
