Just spoke with the former Kansas State star’s agent, Joel Bell.
Beasley will work out for the Chicago Bulls, who hold the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, on June 16-17. Immediately afterwards, he’ll fly to Miami to do the same for the Heat, which possesses the second pick.
On the endorsement front, Bell said Beasley has inked trading card deals with three companies – Upper Deck, Topps and Press Pass.
The agent said his client is currently in serious negotiations with four sneaker companies – strictly my guess, but I’d assume Under Armour, a company founded in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., area, is trying to make a splash here with the local product.
And this was fascinating – Bell said there were various other “consumer items” that Beasley was contemplating, but that was “down the road.”
I think you’re going to see Beasley’s mug in a lot places this winter.

Jeff, any chance you can find out what MB is driving these days? If it were me, I’d probably start out with something simple, like and Escalade or something… then pick up an Aston Martin after the first contract is signed. Maybe if there’s any extra change he can pick up a used Hummer and send it to Whitlock’s house.

what’s beasley’s connection w/ bell? he’s never had anywhere near such a high profile client. beasley’s deals alone will dwarf bell’s other business combined.
beasley announced his intention to go with bell at his press conference announcing his leaving for the league, what went into his decision.
can a guy like bell get mike the attention (read dollars) that other, higher profile agents would be able to secure?
just wanting to put the pieces of this relationship together (i stole that line from my ex).
I’ll look into what Mike’s driving soon enough. As for his connection with Bell, well, there is familiarity because of the D.C. Assault – Bell’s son plays on one of the younger teams. Bell is also representing DeAndre Jordan, and you know those two – Mike and DeAndre – are tight. From what I’m hearing, don’t worry about “the attention.” Seems companies are eager to utilize Mike’s playful personality to pitch their goods.
