Hey Mama! My name is Troy Heck. I have been a K-State Fan since the early 70's. I have enjoyed watching your son play for this team. I myself have 3 sons and a new baby girl, wow, what a blessing they all are. My sons, my wife, and I are all huge Beasley fans, (our youngest boy is 4 years old, and calls him Beezey). We have recently moved to Tulsa,OK from Kansas, and we are planning to come down to Manhatten for the K-State spring game on Saturday, April 19th. I have a favor to ask. I was wondering if my family( my wife and kids) could have the chance to meet Michael and take a picture with him and get his autograph? It would make their "wish" come true. If you would like to email me with your response or information I would appreciate it. P.S. I enjoy reading your blog, keep up the good work. Troy purplestadium@yahoo.com

Mama-
Please keep blogging even though the basketball season is over. I don't like baseball and enjoy reading your blog so much. My son, a KSU student, is getting ready to turn 20 and when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said "Beasley for one more year." Anyway, God Bless and whatever your family does thanks so much!

Mama, thanks for sharing your thought and insight on this fantastic season as well as your great family. Just a bit of advice, you may want to stay around Manhattan a bit longer so Mychaela can learn to drive in a smaller town where trafic will not be that bad. If you plan on following lil'Mike to an NBA city maybe you both should just wait a year so Mychaela feels comfortable behind the wheel:) Thanks again for sharing your K-state experience with us. Keep up the good work and have fun doing it.

Thanks for the wonderful insight. You and your family are nothing but a "class act". I can only imagine what you and your family might be going though with such an important decision to be made. My son lives in the same dorm as Michael and he has nothing but good things to say about Michael. He is just one of the guys and that is a compliment to you. You are to be commended for raising such a wonderful young man that has represented the university so well. God Bless you!

I discovered your blog about midway through the season and I thoroughly enjoy your insight, your openness and your positive outlook. We have all benefited by your presence in Manhattan. I have been a Cat fan for so long that bleeding purple is a way of life. I remember the great days of basketball at KSU and the enthusiasm that they generated. However, I don't remember another year where the basketball season was at such a fever pitch. Feeling the passion and team spirit that has accompanied this team throughout this year, has been wonderful. On another note, I wish that the press would allow college students to make decisions based on their hearts and encourage them to experience the full scope of being 19, in college, young and not pressured to make life decisions at such a tender age. I know this decision is a big deal, but I remember the days when college basketball years meant something totally different. Adult decisions and responsibilities come so quickly to kids these days, I don't envy what this must involve. I know that the kids can always "go back" and get their degree, but they will never be this carefree and young again. I admire the job you have done with your children, from the first time I heard Michael speak, I knew he would be a perfect fit in the Manhattan area. I wish you the best with the choices you have to make. I wish you good health and positive news. I also hope that you will continue this blog, it is such a breath of fresh air. Thanks. Sherri ;o)

I just discovered your website, and I love it. Your family is really amazing. And I have to say that you are "SuperMom". I am a single mom too, but with only a four-year-old. I don't know how you do it with five kids. I'm impressed.

Following the team this year has been so much fun. The team has some great guys representing KSU. It's so nice to be able to get excited about K-State basketball once again. They are a team of outstanding athletes that present themselves as good sportsmen too. They have made K-State fans everywhere very proud!

Tell Lil Mike that my four-year-old daughter has become a K-State basketball fan this year because of him and Walker. She can pick out which ones they are on t.v. She can tell Walker because of the headband. And Mike, I'm not sure if that's because he's such an outstanding athlete, or because she thinks he's the greatest because he likes Spongebob! Just yesterday she saw a guy in Wal-Mart with a Spongebob shirt on, and out of her mouth comes, "Do you think Beasley has a shirt like that"? I showed her the "Insider segment" on k-statesports.com, and now she loves to imitate him by raising her arms and saying "Go State."

Please continue your blog. Best of luck to your family and Mike makes his decision.

What a run, hope it isn't over but I am a realist. Now what a really hope is that the run of "Mama Sayz" continues as long as you are willing to share your family and life with us. You do such a wonderful job with both your family and writing about them - it is almost as if we are part of it. Thanks for sharing your life in Manhattan with us and hopefully it will continue where ever life takes you.
