And the winner is… (03/10)

Great effort by all three contestants. Strong efforts in back-to-back weeks, and both times, my choice hasn’t prevailed. But that’s not what “Forum Friday” is about.

It’s about you.

Saddens me to report that Wildcat Legend’s two-week run has come to an end. This week’s champion is Yosh, who bested Simpson Sampson, 30-23. W.L. had some nice flow with his poem, but the fan base wasn’t feeling him – he only registered seven votes.

So, Yosh returns next week, and I already have one more participant on board. Do you want a piece of Yosh? If so, tell me why down below in the comments section. Be warned – this week’s topic is going to require original thought.

On a personal level, is anyone interested in submitting a bid on the following auction item: the opportunity to be an honorary K-State coach for a non-conference game next season, which includes hanging with the team during pre-game meal, pre-game walkthrough, pre-game talk and then sitting on the bench; a timeout stool autographed by this year’s team; and a game-worn pair of the purple shorts with the claw marks on the side? Let that marinate a bit and I’ll explain in the coming days…

It’s an actual auction, people. My buddy Josh is participating in the Man and Woman of the Year benefit to raise money for leukemia research, and the K-State package is one of two live items that is starting at $1,000. I’m going to provide more information later in the week, but it’s for a good cause. Please consider doing something… Remember, I never ask any of you for anything. I won’t start now, either. But if you wanted to make a donation to Josh’s efforts, I’d be appreciative. That is all…

I have original thought but a lot of it is stream of conscienceness. Hey look a bunny, My keyboard is sticky. I wish I had a couple K to give up for the auction but with 2 kids and a mortgage, My wife would kill me. Purple jelly beans are my favorite.
