Wildcat Legend and the dude simply known as… dude.
In the inaugural “Forum Friday,” which I think is going to be far better than I originally imagined, W.L.dusted the competition, nearly doubling the number of votes captured by the runner-up, the incomparable Steve Dave. Although Steve Dave will argue that I ruined the integrity of his essay, the truth is I didn’t understand most of what he wrote. Nevertheless, look for S.D. in other capacities here at “K-Stated.”
Wildcat Legend will be back this week to defend his unofficial title of the voice of the K-State fan. Hopefully, Yosh and Simpson Sampson are interested in being this week’s combatants – they had strong “applications,” but they didn’t meet all of the necessary criteria. Everyone is entitled to pitch me their reasons why they should be considered for a future “Forum,” and I’ve already had a couple of people toss their names into the mix. I like that.
As for dude, he predicted KU would win, 88-76. The final score, of course, was 88-74. Because I’m a good guy, I’m going to give it to dude, who admitted via e-mail this little consolation for Saturday night. Hey, dude, send me your physical address and I’ll shoot your prize to you, which reminds me – did the first two contest winners receive their gifts? I never heard. Holler at me.
