No. 22 in AP, No. 24 in ESPN/Coaches

Kansas State is ranked in both Top 25 polls this week. Funny to note, however, that the Wildcats are one spot ahead of Texas A&M in the AP poll, but one spot behind the Aggies in the coaches’ poll. Never mind that K-State drilled A&M in Manhattan Jan. 19, and that both teams have the same number of losses.

Yep, these polls make a lot of sense.

At least Wednesday will be a matchup of two ranked teams and also a showdown for first place in the Big 12 – how cool is that?

JMart- What did you think of my little talk last night? Pretty funny, huh? Another year of me fooling the bible thumpers out your way. OOOO, terrorists, run and hide. God its funny how easily a bunch of sheltered hicks can be scared. I will say i did screw up the economy with all the money I spent, but hell, my buddies got rich and lets just say there is a little something, something waiting for me in ‘09. 600 bucks ought to make people forget about kids dying in Iraq for a few months at least. Anyway, I see you Jayhawked out (get it jayhawked = chickened, hu hu hu… damn I’m funny) of making any predictions on your mother site. So I’ll do one for you… Barack v. Clinton… I got Barack in a tight one. McCain V. Romney… McCain, I mean Karl Rove is out of politics and makin Oil money, so he is safe and the country is not ready for a…. tall president. Which brings me to the big issue that needs to be answered…who wins the KU-Kstate game… its going to be a good one. Look for KU to have a 7 point half time lead. KSU is young and will make dumb mistakes early. This will PO Martin, Bill, and Beas… they come out firing in the second half… KSU will be down two with a few seconds to go…Beasely with the ball, passes to … Darren Kent… launches a three and its good. Yep you heard it here first. KState will win as sure as I can convince an entire nation that Iraq has WMD’s.

Yes, very cool. Rankings in college basketball become somewhat of a joke after the top 5 or so though. The bottom line, though, is how much better this KSU team looks than it did just a month ago. Will they win tomorrow? It’ll be extremely tough. IMHO, KU is the best team in the nation. I hope it’s a close game and KSU can grit it out with a Beasley bucket at the buzzer.

Oh, and if anyone has two tickets to the game that they’d like to sell, e-mail me at onebagger@hotmail.com. I’m willing to pay pretty good $$.

J-Mart, what would you have us ranked if you had a vote?
