Just saw Ron Prince talking to Sam Keller. Can only imagine what those two were chatting about.
Anyway, we’re here in Lincoln, as I’m sure many of you are as well. I have no idea how this game will play out, and if I did, I’d probably wager a considerable amount of money on the outcome. But, obviously, I don’t, so I’m not.
As for last night, K-State men’s basketball is officially the must-see event of the winter. Shame on you if you haven’t used your tickets yet, and shame on you if fail to recognize how terrific Michael Beasley is. Yes, he’s supposed to be good? But 32 and 24 good? In his first college game? Because it’s early and we’re into stating the obvious today, he’s special.
But what about the guards? Thought to be a weakness, if Blake Young, Jacob Pullen, Fred Brown and, when he’s finally healthy, Clent Stewart can hit open shots – which Young admitted Beasley’s presence would likely yield all season – the Wildcats will be lethal. Imagine surrounding Beasley and Bill Walker in the frontcourt with Young, Pullen and Stewart? Or, as your probable starting five when Big 12 play rolls around, Beasley, Walker and Hoskins in the frontcourt joined by Young and Pullen or Stewart? That’s kind of nice.
Holler at me with your thoughts. On football. On basketball. On life. I’m in a philosophical mood, ready to dispense advice. Fire when ready…

This team will be completely sick when Hoskins, Sutton, and Samuels join up!! B-EZ is the Real Deal and I think he is an evolved player, much different than Durant was. Better tho…
- Watch Out for the Cats! Good Job man!
Any guesses on how long Hoskins is going to be out?
I know Beas is talented, but how much help do you think he will need when we get to Old Spice and the Pac-10 series? Who can we go without, and who do we absolutely need back? Oh and Boston University sucks. We need to get you some K-State stuff.
Might be Big 12 play before Hoskins is back.
Was it another meniscus problem that he had surgery on, or was it something else?
Will all blog entries from now on be basketball related?
(Unless of course, there is a coaching search to cover…)
Just wanted to say i love you Levi
with a rating of 1 to 10 with 10 being really sure…in your opinion please rate on Samuels and Sutton being here playing in December. Keep up the good work.
Being in the stadium was tough today. A lot of our crowd wanted Freeman’s head. However, I thought he was all alone out there too often. How many bad snaps? How many drops? How many “look out” blocks by the line? Freeman showed a lot of guts in the scoring drives during the second half.
It seems the front seven on both sides of the line are regressing. I swear I saw Campbell and Jackson take plays off. It’s never good when your corners are your best form tacklers on your defense. It feels like we have Jarrod Cooper back there playing safety against the deep post. Maybe we’ve just been exposed.
Still have faith, HCRP is still cleaning up the culture left over from 2004 to 2005. I seem to remember it took the previous coach some time as well.
