Dispatch from Auburn…

Kirk Sampson, the sports information director at Auburn, said senior left tackle King Dunlap will play Saturday against K-State despite being arrested Monday on a misdemeanor warrant for not paying a speeding ticket.

"The discipline will be handled internally," Sampson said.

Also, in response to Internet chatter about the availability of junior running back Brad Lester, who ran for 510 yards and nine touchdowns in 2006, Sampson said there was no update from coach Tommy Tuberville.

Jeff, are you allowed to drink from all the water fountains in Alabama or just designated ones?

Big surprise that a southern school is engaging in unethical measures to win games. Jeez-o-pete’s they sure do like there cheatin’ down their. Can’t wait to see Freeman get up under center vs. these guys. Keep up the good work, Jeff.

catzacker, not to be a PC curmudgeon, but I think that is in poor taste. mjrod, what is so unethical about letting a kid who didn’t pay a speeding ticket play? Big deal. So he sped, so he’s a poor college kid and didn’t pay the fine. So what? It’s not like he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house twice in one morning or something. K-State fans, have respect for our opponents. AU is a great team with a long, storied tradition. Quit bashing the SEC and AU and enjoy the fact that we aren’t playing St. Mary’s School for the Blind and Athletically Inept on opening day like we used to. AU is awesome, elite team, and I am totally stoked to watch our Cats play in that big time atmosphere! GO CATS!
