Kansas’ football game at Texas on Oct. 29 will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network and the Jayhawk Television Network in Kansas. JTN in Wichita is KSNW, Channel 3.
KU officials said the game would be offered in high definition and that the two schools would share production of the game. KU will have its own announcers for the Jayhawk Network broadcast.
Jayhawk Network games are shown on Channel 62, KSMO, in the Kansas City area, which also offers HD.
Big 12 rules allow each school to show one football game on its own school-based network. Texas’ home opener Saturday against Rice will be shown on the Longhorn Network and Kansas’ game against McNeese State will be shown on an Internet live stream on KU’s Jayhawk All-Access.
But when the Longhorn Network announced it wished to broadcast a second Texas home football game, the Big 12 ruled that could only happen if the opposing school and the Big 12 office signed off on the game
