According to a poll released today, Carrie Underwood is America’s favorite “Idol” winner (though I’m partial to Kelly Clarkson.)
The poll also names Jason Castro as this season’s most overrated singer and Michael Johns as the loser most likely to win in the end.

I think Carrie is the best Idol so far. And I have to agree with the opinion about Jason Castro. I’m suprised he made it as far as he did.
I still think David A. will win, although either way, both David’s definately have record deals coming their way. As for Syesha? That remains to be seen. She’s improved through the past few weeks, but I don’t know if she’s good enough to get very far afterwards.
I love Carrie, always have and probably always will. She radiates a positive role model for young girls/women. She isn’t out on the streets showing off her privates, nor is she seen drunk or stoned. She seems to have been raised to respect herself, her family and her country! She is also a fantastic singer, I’m sure her star will be shining for a long time to come.
Oh I know! My favorite idol is…Simon. Does he count? Really, does anyone care? How many so-called idols do you even hear from anymore? Almost all are one-hit wonders with just enough talent to win a goofy show. I have to admit though that as far as “American Idols” go, Carrie Underwood is pretty sweet.
Idol? I would like to thank you for not being quite as annoying this time you posted. And ya know by those comments….it sounds as though you are a secret Idol fan! lol
Oh, and the whole reason for my post… my fav idol contestant is Chris Daughtry. But my favorite winner is definitely Carrie. I’ve seen her several times live and she’s great.
I agree that Michael Johns is the loser most likely to succeed; he seems to be the re-incarnate of Michael Hutchence and could take over the lead of INXS immediately (too bad they had that reality show a couple years ago finding a new lead singer).
Most overrated? Taylor Hicks. His replays are so painful/nauseating to watch. What the hell was America thinking (myself included).
I like Kelly Clarkson but if the vote is simply based on popularity then Underwood wins.
I do really like that blonde on the TV Guide channel though
My all time favorite is Carrie Underwood followed by season 2’s runner up Clay Aiken. They both have become millionaires just about over night. They are top notch in their fields. Carrie’s career is taking off big time.
Actually, Bo Bice was my favorite ALMOST American Idol. However, it was probably a good thing he was first-runner-up and not winner, because he had some major health issues after that which really set him back and he wouldn’t have been able to keep up with the winner tour. I hope he’s doing okay these days.
I agree Carrie is my favorite idol, and Michael will definitely have a career ahead of him. I disagree about Jason, as he had such a soothing, mellow sound, I could listent to him all night. David Cook will be the same way. He is a musical genius, and will have many hits. I think he will give Carrie a run for the favorite. If Archie wins, he will be a one hit wonder, He doesn’t have the style, or maturity or voice to make it yet. He is just too young. David C has paid his dues, and is mature enough to handle it, and will relish the opportunities this will give him.
MJ, you are right on the money!
Denise, you are an idiot. You have been anti-David A since day one. Get over it. This kid hits key notes with vast consistanly. His stage presence needs some help but hes 17!! I assure you, you will see big things from him.
You couldn’t be more on the money Denise. Archuleta proved he can sing ballads but absolutely nothing else. Bored to tears everytime he sang. The one time he tried something different he forgot the words (TWICE)! Idol jumps on whoever is more appealing to America. Hmm, let’s see, clean-cut Archuleta or a risk-taking not-so-squeeky-clean Cook. My prediction, minimal success for Jeff er.. I mean David Archuleta. I far as David Cook goes, can you say Daughtery.
