Still, I have strong suspicions that the judges are scripted before the shows based on what the producers think of the performances that week...and that Paula just got a little ahead of herself with the notes. On the other hand, Ryan did say that there would be no comments until they had performed both songs...and then they threw a change at her at the last minute...and she was *confused*. Paulas mind...*omg...they've already sung two songs...what did i miss...ok...i'm going to bluff it...no charm on song I heard...so...no charm on 2nd one*...plausible. Either way...Paula's mind was elsewhere..for whatever reason. And, I'm thinking the reason Jason was called out first and told he was safe probably didn't mean he got the most votes but may have been a way to apologize to him by letting him know he was safe early on...rather than doing the right thing and saying it was a screw up that was unfair to you we are sorry. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that they have exercised their right to kick someone off despite the voters in the past and will do so in the future...but I'm a cynical old broad.
