Ciao, Chikezie

chikezie1.jpgWell, bye bye to you, too, Chikezie Eze. That’s right. I resurrected your last name as a sign of respect. And I resurrected the orange leisure suit as a sign of…um…my support for Vitamin C?

What can be said about tonight’s eviction?

Was it shocking? No. Chikezie’s number has been up for weeks.

Was it right? Not at all. That sneaky Kristy Lee playing the Lee Greenwood card threw things all out of whack. Poor Chikezie was simply outplayed by a shrewd, curly haired patriot from Oregon. But he certainly wasn’t out-sung. We’re all seasoned enough “Idol” fans to know that the best singer doesn’t always get to stay, though. Now aren’t we?

Here are a few things, though, that are troubling me:

1. Ramiele: She’s cute and sweet, but the girl is coasting. What has she done for us lately? I can’t think of a single standout performance all season. She certainly doesn’t deserve her bottom-three-free status.

2. Syesha: Do we like her or not? Let’s decide. If we don’t, let’s set her free. If we do, let’s stop torturing her with those marches to the loser stools week after week.

3. Group numbers: Can we please, please let David Cook sit ‘em out? Whatever rocker credibility he’s working on, and it’s a lot, is seriously threatened each week by that sashay right, sashay left, big smile, JAZZ HANDS stuff. It works for Brooke. Carly can pull it off. Even Michael manages to work it out. But for David — it’s just painful. I’m sort of glad I sat out that Daughtry season now. Couldn’t have bared watching him suffer through that dippy choreography. Was it bad?

What did you think? Will you miss Chikezie? Who really deserved to go? And did you happen to catch that very, very, very subtle marketing for iTunes??

Seriously, what a sneaky move, playing the “I love America” card. I can’t stand Kristy Lee Cook and if she doesn’t go away soon, I might punch my television.

And if KLC couldn’t leave tonight, then why didn’t Syesha get her walking papers? The faux diva can’t go on much longer.

But if David keeps it up, I think I can live a little while longer because he might be one of the best Idols ever.

Kristy Lee wasn’t in the bottom three this week. Ramiele wasn’t in the bottom three. I think we’re in for a lot of surprises during the remaining weeks. I would not have sent Chikezie home before Ramiele but she wasn’t even occupying one of those dreaded loser stools. At this point it’s going to be hard to see any of them get voted off b/c they all are talented. Uh-huh, even the detested Kristy Lee. Apparently quite a few people see her talent and know how to make phone calls on her behalf. I predict that many of the top ten will get recording contracts. And I think David Cook will be the most successful whether he wins this competition or not.

Well, if someone besides Kristy Lee, Ramiele, or Syesha had to go tonight, I guess I’m glad it was Chickezie. I hope Jason got a scare and will do better next week. Although what he and David Cook are going to do with Dolly Parton songs, I have no clue. Unfortunately, Kristy Lee will probably not stink up the house as she will be happy twanging her way through one of Dolly’s simpler melodies. Does Dolly have a patriotic song? If so, Kristy will surely find it.

Now…any bets on who is going to tackle *And I will always love YOUUUUUUU?* Syesha has a big enough ego to think she can out Dolly and out Whitney that song. For the record…I don’t like Syesha and she can sit on that stool next week along with Kristy and Ramiele. If any of that trio go, I will be happy.

Kristi Lee Cook–not in the bottom three. Yay, Yay, Yay, she has finally made it. Next week is country week & maybe she will shine. She is no longer sick from the flu & ready to rock & roll. From what I read here it must be my 10,000 votes/nite that are keeping her in the running, but I’m up for it awhile longer, until she hits her natural stride. Last nite it was easier, because of song selection & I had lots of help. On other nites I think it was just me & her family keeping her in the game. From here on out it’s a brand new game!!!
PS–it was correct for Chickezee to go tonite & good for Jason to get a good scare.

People should grow up and stop whining about who left. You can’t do anything about it but VOTE next week so your favorite or your prediction follows through!

Give Ramiele some slack! It’s not her fault that she’s still in the competition…I hope she sings better next week and prove more to all her anti-fans!!

Well, I did vote for David Cook and Michael Johns, the only two I actually look forward to seeing each week. I think it’s going to be a male Idol year…they’re clearly a more talented lot.

In my opinion Chikezie, Kristy and Ramiele should have been the bottom three – Kristy lucked out this week. Chikezie was overdue. Rameiele just does not have that WOW factor on stage – she’s cute & tiny and that’s what’s keeping her going. America you got it right!!!

Who is voting for Ramiele? Whoever it is STOP IT? And, Syesha as well, then we will have a true singing contest.

I agree NotDorothy, the “Guys” have it this year, and I also agree with most everyone else and add Kristy is hurting my ears so much I have to mute her to stay tuned! Only one more week and she is gone…she’s got to B

At this stage of the game, it’s hard to tell who goes and who stays. Honestly I was sorry to see Chikezie go. Ramiele, Syesha or Kristy should have gone before him. Face it, in some ways this is not about talent but a popularity contest with the voters. I look at it this way: Would I buy their CD? If it’s no, then they can go anytime.

I was sorry to see Chikezie go… he has a really nice, mellow voice and hopefully he’ll find a niche in the recording industry. As for Kristy… I think people should get off her back for playing the patriotic card… it’s a great song and fit her voice perfectly… smart girl!

I really like Jason and Brooke… but they both seem to be stuck on a plateau of sorts, with nowhere to go. I also really like David Cook a lot, but my money (literally) is going to Michael Johns. The iTunes, full studio versions of his songs are just amazing…. espcially “We are the champions”. In a weird way, I almost hope he doesn’t win because I fear the type of pop-lite music the American Idol producing machine will force him to sing. Wait, scratch that idea.. I want him to win!!

Hey are the judges really whacked out this year or is it just my opinion? Do they really not know that Syesha is BORING??? I had my fingers crossed but alas it was not to be…poor Chikeze. At least, when he hit the mark, he entertained.

    Onward and (well) somewhere else.

Well, I’m behind on posting this week!!! I didn’t watch the performances until right before the results show so I didn’t see any point in posting then. Sad to see Chikeze go, but somebody has to now. And those that are in what I call the “bottom tier” will all be going quick (Kristie, Syesha, Ramiele). David “yawn” A. is quickly losing me. My money is on David Cook to win, with either Michael Johns or Brooke White as #2. I will definately be willing to plunk down some $$ for a CD of David’s. While not a huge Carley fan, I’m still liking her version of McCartney’s “Blackbird”………

Ramiele has gotta go she’s too boring no interview appeal at all. She acts like a 4 yr old – too dang shy. Yes she’s little and cute but doesn’t cut it for the Amerian Idol package.
