Wesley Suites, which sounds a bit like a hotel, is getting a new name that perhaps more accurately describes it.
The 27,000-square-foot physician office space next to Wesley West Emergency and Diagnostic Center at 13th and Tyler is now going to be known as Westside Medical Office Building. A new sign will be installed Thursday.
Kris Hall, senior real estate manager for CB Richard Ellis, which is Wesley Medical Center’s property manager, says the idea is to make a distinct identification for the medical offices separate from the emergency room.
Fourteen percent of the space is currently leased, and Hall says she’s working on a deal with two specialty physician groups that will move in this summer and bring the occupancy rate to about 60 percent.
Except to hear more on the new groups in about a month.
