UPDATED — Smart Security and Investigations and Not Just A Cop Shop are moving this weekend from 626 N. Broadway to 2819 E. Central, which is between Hillside and Grove.
The retail shop is “really the inspiration to move,” says Tina Sidelnik-Reesman, who owns the businesses with her husband, Bruce Reesman.
“It wasn’t a very good storefront,” Sidelnik-Reesman says of the Broadway space. “It just made it really tough for us to be able to sell things. It just wasn’t very consumer friendly.”
Smart Security and Investigations opened a decade ago. It’s a full service security company that offers security guards, private investigation and process serving.
A storefront wasn’t as important for that business as it is for Not Just A Cop Shop.
That’s a retail store that sells products such as Tasers, Mace, GPS tracking devices, alarm systems and Android pads.
It used to be called SSI Equipment and Supply.
“Nobody knew what that meant,” Sidelnik-Reesman says.
