WICHITA — Lady Grace Boutique in Delano is moving, but not far.
“We want to move east of Seneca so we are actually in the heart of Delano,” says manager Tory Mayer.
The shop opened in late 2010 in 700 square feet at 1316 W. Douglas, which is west of Seneca.
“I think people think Delano stops after Seneca,” Mayer says.
The new space is at 810 W. Douglas in the former Rewound Sounds space, which is about 2,400 square feet.
“It’s huge,” Mayer says of the two-story building.
She and her mother-in-law, Jodie Mayer, who owns the shop, will use the second story for storage.
The shop, which sells women’s apparel, accessories, purses, jewelry, shoes and boots and some home decor, will be on the first floor.
Tory Mayer says they like that there will be more parking at the new store, which opens April 19, and that it will be closer to other businesses.
“I just think we’ll get a better traffic flow over there,” she says.
“The opportunity came up, and we’re taking it.”
