Broadway Home Medical to open on South Hillside after Hospice Care of Kansas finds new space

WICHITA — The building at 808 S. Hillside that once was home to Johnston’s Clothiers and most recently has housed Hospice Care of Kansas now has a new owner.

Mike Lindsey of Broadway Home Medical bought the 9,000-square-foot building from Jerry and Marianne Johnston.

Hospice Care of Kansas has its patient care staff at the Hillside office and has administrative offices at 750 N. Socora. The group is considering a couple of new buildings for a larger, combined office.

There’s no set date yet for Hospice Care of Kansas to move out and Broadway Home Medical to move in.

Lindsey says he expects to be in by spring.

Broadway Home Medical has been in 5,000 square feet at 356 N. Washington for 10 years.

The company sells durable medical equipment, such as lift chairs, walkers and respiratory equipment.
