WICHITA — For years, Susie Dooley’s family and friends have encouraged her to open her own dog grooming business.
She’s worked for lots of other businesses, including a veterinarian’s office, and is a certified groomer.
Now, she’s opening Delano Dog Grooming by Susie at 809 W. Maple in Delano.
“I love dogs,” Dooley says. “I love animals.”
Her fiance, Doyle Wood, is part of the inspiration Dooley needed.
“Everybody else’s (grooming) is not as picture book as yours,” Wood has been telling her. “I said, ‘You know, let’s go ahead and get you a shop.’ ”
It opens April 1.
