Shelton Collision Repair to move in Derby

WICHITA — For the first time in more than three decades, Shelton Collision Repair in Derby is getting a new home, and it seems like it couldn’t be more perfectly timed.

Brad and Tracie Shelton are moving their business to 325 W. Patriot Ave. next to where it looks like a new Menards may be opening.

“That’s going to be nothing but good news for us,” Brad Shelton says.

The Sheltons bought the business in 1999 from Brad Shelton’s parents, Dale and Carolyn.

They started the business in 1977 at 122 N. Georgie, where it’s been ever since.

That building has 8,600 square feet.

The new store will have 11,500 square feet.

“Even though our footprint isn’t going to be that much bigger . . . it’ll be able to handle the capacity of 50-to-75 percent growth,” Shelton says. “It’s going to be set up that much better.”
