WICHITA — Seasonal Decorating has added a new sales room in what used to be a locker room.
The shop is in the former Fire Station No. 7 at 2828 W. 13th St.
At one point, owner Brian Allender took the lockers out, but he’s put them back and is using them partly for storage and partly to hang art on.
He plans to get on the Final Friday circuit and have art shows there in the fall.
“The feel to it is kind of like an art studio.”
Allender thinks the firefighters who used to work in the building would approve.
“It’s just neat how we’ve incorporated our product into the space,” he says. “A lot of people would come in and tear everything out and start over.”
