Kritter Kutters School of All Breed Dog Grooming owner expands with retail shop and obedience training

WICHITA — Kritter Kutters School of All Breed Dog Grooming owner Kelly Gilbert is expanding his business in a couple of ways.

First, earlier this month he began leasing 1,500 square feet next to his 2,200 square feet at 9420 W. Central, which is between Tyler and Maize Road.

The new space is for Awhh’s 4 Paws, a retail shop with pet food and supplies.

Previously, Gilbert had a small retail area within his grooming shop, which also doubles as space for a grooming school.

Gilbert started his business out of his garage in 2005 and began leasing his first space near his existing one in 2006.

With his latest new space, Gilbert says he’s able to add more supplies, such as toys, picture frames and dog pillows. He already has expanded the food lines he’s offering and plans to add more.

The Awhh’s 4 Paws site also is where Ron Sparky Sparkman soon will begin having dog obedience classes. Sparkman has been doing obedience training professionally for 15 years. He operates under the name Sparky’s Basic Obedience 101.
