WICHITA — There’s lots of activity at the former Dutch Mill Bakery in Yoder, but the business isn’t reopening.
The bakery closed in September due to financial issues, and local farmer and Yoder Fence owner Eli Yoder bought the property from the bank that foreclosed on the bakery.
“We’re remodeling – totally remodeling it,” Yoder says. “I’m probably going to put it on the market again.”
If he doesn’t get what he wants for it, though, Yoder is open to putting his own business there, such as a farm store with ice cream service in the front.
“It’s kind of up in the air yet,” he says. “There’s a lot of potential there.”
