From the start, Inland planned to consolidate the two Wichita stores. Now, it’s finally happening.
“It just took us longer than I thought,” says Dennis Bowers, Inland’s Wichita general manager.
The businesses are moving to a new 42,000-square-foot space at the Mid-Continent Industrial Park just off K-42 between Tyler and Maize Road.
The former U.S. Machinery, which repairs trucks, is at 1775 S. West St.. Inland, which sells truck parts, is at 1313 S. Young St.
“We’re merging both the parts store and the service store together now,” Bowers says. “It’s going to be a brand-new building.”
Dondlinger & Sons is the contractor.
Construction will begin in the next few weeks.
