You don’t say

“You gotta do it sometime.”

Orange Leaf franchisee Sean O’Brien, who says opening a yogurt business in winter isn’t ideal but that’s what he’s doing Dec. 17 near the northeast corner of Central and Greenwich

Why another on the East side?

You know, Carrie, you ought to rename this feature from, “You don’t say,” to “Carrie’s Shameless Free Advertising Corner.” At least that would be honest… the “feature” is already transparent.

  • Luckyguy

Good luck; Great product, I don’t remember that corner being the hub of commerce. I think going further east to Andover would give you a quicker return.

Orange Leaf has a great reputation and Mr. O’Brien is showing confidence in the area for his second location. Greenwich and Central may not look to be as exciting a location as some but there is a great deal of activity in that area. Quik Shop certainly had confidence in that location and we all know they are very good business people. Good luck to Orange Leaf and I am looking forward to coming to your new location.

wingnutty: Don’t I remember something else looking at property at Central and Greenwich? Chik-Fil-A or somebody like that? (Carrie? Am I losing my mind?) As Luckyguy says, perhaps not a hub of commerce… yet.

Granted it takes a strong business to be one of the early adopters, and sometimes it’s a case of second-mouse-gets-the-cheese, but it may not be a bad choice at all.

Karen: Chick-Fil-A was looking at Central and Rock. Unless there are multiple locations that I don’t know about which is highly possible.

Boy, what would Carrie’s feature be without the comments from a certain local know it all? Maybe the Eagle should give him his own column, since he seems to know everything.

  • FirstAmendmentFan

Yes, elizabeth, but that would slightly diminish the entertainment value. Plus, his attitude is so bad it makes my life seem happier.

AFN: Yeah, I remembered that one, but I was thinking someone had bought/leased/considered land for a second-or-later store. That’s really too close to Rock for it to have been CFA, though. Danged if I can dredge up anything else, though.

    KarenInDelano –

AFN is right. Chik-fil-A is looking at Central and Rock.
