It’s a lot colder here

May 27th, 2008 · 6 Comments

There was a 25-degree difference in temperature from Wichita to Greensburg this afternoon. Someone attributed it to a cold front. Obviously, as Merril Teller would say.

Not all of us (including me) brought jackets. But it’s supposed to warm up in a day or so.

Tonight, we trying to grill hamburgers on a small charcoal grill outside the church where we’re staying. Pretty chilly work. We opted for boiling the hotdogs in the church kitchen.

Everyone who’s not preparing dinner is busy on their initial stories. It’s interesting to see big people working on their laptops at those little kids’ tables in the Sunday school classrooms.

If it were a 130 here and I were headed home, I’d take a jacket.
