The Boot Hill Casino and Resort in Dodge City is scheduled to open in the middle of the month, developers said Wednesday.
They have an exact date in mind for the opening, but are waiting for a few minor details to be worked out before announcing it, they said.
Construction on the facility has been completed and a temporary certificate of occupancy has been issued.
The Boot Hill facility will open with a $48 million first phase that includes 584 slot machines and 12 table games.
The slot machines are being certified on the gaming floor, and the table game set-up is being completed.
Boot Hill also has a restaurant, saloon, snack bar and gift shop.
The facility will be the first of three proposed state-owned casinos to open.
