Pat Salerno, who backed out of a contract in Wichita last summer, may learn today whether he landed a new job after months of searching. The Miami Herald reported today he and two other finalists were interviewed for the city manager position in Coral Gables, Fla., a Miami suburb of about 43,000 people.
Salerno has been a finalist in several cities, mostly in Florida and the East Coast. His history with Wichita and the censure issued by the International City/County Management Association after he reneged on a contract have been reported in Miami and other cities he has applied.
