The four candidates vying for the District 2 and District 3 seats on the Sedgwick County Board of Commissioners will speak at a forum next month at Newman University.
The forum, sponsored by the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, will give voters a chance to hear from District 2 incumbent Tim Norton, a Democrat, and his Republican challenger, Craig Gabel, as well as District 3 hopefuls Republican Karl Peterjohn and Democrat Marcey Gregory. The commission races are ramping up to be interesting with a lot of focus on giving residents some relief on property taxes. The Eagle recently reported that Gabel is delinquent on some of his own taxes.
The forum will start at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at Newman Universeity’s De Mattias Performance Hall and is free and open the public.
