Sherry Chisenhall, editor
Sherry has been at The Eagle for seven years, the last three as editor of the paper. Prior to coming to Wichita, Sherry worked for 14 years as an editor, reporter and copy editor for The Charlotte Observer in North Carolina and The Sun Herald in Biloxi, Miss.
Tom Shine, assistant managing editor for business
Tom has been at The Eagle for 26 years. He came here straight out of college and has filled a number of jobs during his career in the newsroom working for the sports, news and business departments at different times.
Jean Hays, metro editor
Jean is responsible for local news.
Arlice Davenport, senior editor for visuals
Arlice has been at The Eagle since 1971. Among his many roles at the paper, he has been a copy editor, production editor and page designer. He directs the graphics and design team at The Eagle and oversees the photography staff. He is also in charge of the Travel section and writes frequently about poetry.
Lori Linenberger, senior editor for features
Lori has been at The Eagle as a reporter and editor for 18 years. Prior to coming to the paper, she worked as an editor and reporter for United Press International in Kansas from 1981 to 1989. As the features editor, Lori is in charge of the paper’s arts and entertainment coverage as well as lifestyle topics such as health, food, fashion, family, religion and home and gardening.
Nick Jungman, senior editor for interactive
Nick is responsible for news content on Kansas.com. He joined The Eagle in 1996. He previously worked at the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times, the Oklahoman in Oklahoma City and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock. In his spare time, he is an adjunct instructor in journalism at Newman University. He’s married to Wichitalk columnist Denise Neil, and they have a daughter, Alexis.
Michael Roehrman, senior editor for production
A native Wichitan, Michael was hired by The Eagle in 1997 as part of the launch of WichitaOnline, now Kansas.com. As senior editor for production, Michael oversees all print production including copy editing, design, national and international news, corrections and newsroom operations at night.
Kirk Seminoff, sports editor
Kirk has been a part of The Eagle since 1984. He has been sports editor since 2000 and has also covered Wichita State and high school sports.
