Who doesn’t know Sebelius is a Democrat?

A reader took us to task for recent story headlined, “Governor Warns of Revenue Shortfall.” In the fourth paragraph, reporter David Klepper attributes a quotation from Kathleen Sebelius this way: “said Sebelius, a Democrat.” The reader, another David, wonders why we had to refer to her party, and what implication we were trying to make - that if the governor were a Republican, there would be no revenue shortfall?

Sometimes, a Democrat is just a Democrat. The reference to the governor’s party wasn’t meant as an implication of anything other than identifying her political party. One thing to keep in mind as Sebelius’ name floats as a potential vice president candidate - stories about her are being read online across the country as people seek to learn more about her. Such seemingly minor details help readers less familiar with Kansas politics. So the party affiliation - while extraneous to some - can aid clarity for thousands of other readers.

    Sherry:

Why do you keep on writing meaningless blog topics? You are the long-time Eagle editor, and we are experiencing historic events which glorify the importance of free speech. When Pat Salerno rejected the city manager’s job yesterday, he would not state his reasons. I had to wonder if he had spent the week end reading the Eagle’s past blogs about the public’s disgust with the Eagle, Nola Foulston, the corrupt SRS and judges and the graft at city hall. Isn’t free speech important? Someday you will be commended for having the guts to allow free speech on the Eagle’s blogs.

I keep on expecting major layoffs at the Eagle, but I think that the McLatchy knows that it owns a “pig in a poke”. There are so many parallels between the Eagle’s current problems under McLatchy and the problems of Westar (the large Kansas utility) under their former CEO David Wittig. The employee morale at Westar was low because everyone knew that Wittig & COO Doug Lake could not sell the utility because of the high debt. The middle managers knew that the good old boys, Wittig & Lake, would exit just in time with golden parachutes smelling like a rose while their bosses who were high level female executives that were promoted above their competency levels would be left hanging. I’m guessing the good old boys, Buzz, Lou & Randy are not holding open a spot for you at WSU’s School of Communications and that the heartless executives at McLatchy have not guaranteed Pam an eventual transfer.

Even though the Eagle has lost its reputation due to the incestuous relationships between some of its most prominent editors and reporters and the corrupt legal system, the Eagle does own fixed assets and should have some residual value if it is sold to the owners of the Topeka or Lawrence papers. I think that its time for the middle managers at the Eagle to start complaining. Of course this could be Pam & your finest hour if you aggressively report what has actually happened in Wichita. As always please feel free to give me a call or better yet e-mail me if you want any documented evidence of court house corruption. I’ll even resend you Joes Liddle’s documentation that you have previously acknowledged as having received. FYI - Joe copied me on another e-mail that he sent to Dion. I would forward that e-mail to you but your firewall is rejecting all of my e-mails. I think that this would make an interesting story for the Lawrence or Topeka papers except that journalists probably have their own professional code of silence. You all probably don’t want the public’s poor opinions of daily news papers to sink any lower.

Bill - Do you work or have any other activity besides stalking editors and reporters online and making them the target of bizarre rants? You have taken any creditability you might have had and destroyed it with these rambling diatribes.

No one who reads these, aside from the Eagle staff (possibly), has no idea what you are talking about because you don’t make any sense in your rants and cryptic messages to people who have obviously written you off as a wingnut (and not the baseball fan).

Of course, this is just my perspective from the outside looking in.

    Sherry -
I just posted the comment listed below to today’s editorial in which you suggested that current county manager Bill Buchanan and Derby city manager should be considered as qualified local candidates to be the next city manager. The Eagle has been deleting my comments on occasion so I like to copy them over to a blog as a preventative measure. I hope my comments will be seen as SOS messages in a bottle sent out to the out of state media. I know that I am at risk for being sued for slander or charged by Nola Foulston or AG Steve Six for criminal slander. I don’t know if it will do any good, but 2 years ago I proactively joined the ACLU even though I disagree with 90% of their positions. Heck - If they are willing to represent the Phelps family for desecrating the American flag, maybe the ACLU would represent me against criminal charges for trying to expose criminal acts by Nola Foulston’s office and feet dragging by AG Steve Six. If you want to call Joe Liddle his cell phone is 515 720-5412. He has accused an attorney & Sedgwick Court employee Genine Ware assisted Judge Pilshaw & asst. DA Christine Ladner with suborning perjury . I thought the Eagle may want to cover this story as Genine was recruited by Democrat County Chairman Kelli Johnston to be the Democrat candidate for County Clerk and Pilshaw has a primary opponent in an election that is less than 4 weeks away. I’ll be curious to see if GOP candidates Sarah Skelton & Kelly Arnold even make this allegation an issue in the November general election. Given all of the pent up pressure that has build up over decades of courthouse & city hall corruption and media censorship, I hope it not take much to break through down the code of silence. My comment read as follows:

Randy - The Eagle is SO predictable in promoting County Manager Bill Buchanan & his former top asst. Kathi Sexton who is the city manager of Derby. They are both part of the elitist fascist network of good old boys in city hall. I just got a call last week about serious problems in the Derby police department which eventually be disclosed. I don’t know if you read the newspaper but there are serious scandals with the sheriff’s department, district court judges, the WPD and citizen outrage over subsidies to bankroll private development deals for good old boys. Despite the Eagle’s policy to cover up documented public corruption, these stories will eventually be reported. The main story will not be the systemic corruption, but will be why the Eagle’s editors intentionally betrayed the public trust and why no lower lever journalists spoke out. The Eagle continues to refuse to contact Joe Liddle even though it has had his documents for almost a year. The Eagle has the journalistic integrity of Pravda during the last days of the Soviet Empire. I guess I have to copy & paste this comment on Sherry’s blog as my prior comments about Buchanan & Sexton were deleted. I’ll also attach it to the e-mail that Joe recently sent to Dion Leffler and forward it to the insiders at the court house.

Thank you so much for reading my entry. You are correct to assume that I want the Eagle reporters to read my blog entries. I also copy the comments and attach the link to the blog entry to emails that I send to the 26 judges, members of the Sedgwick legislative delegation, promient attoreys in Wichita etc. If you are curious, please set up a new e-mail account in yahoo and send me an e-mail. I will e-mail to your anonymous account unbelievable documentation of criminal perjury & forgery by some of your favorite judges. I will copy the same judges and attorneys involved and Sherry Chisenhall and ask them to deny my allegations. You can forward the e-mail to your friends & co-workers. This is how free speech works in Wichita.

I list my name, e-mail & phone number. My blog entries go back over 2 years old. The judges & attonreys could have filed criminal defamation charges against me at any time. Of course they also could have denied them, calledme crazy, etc. Doesn’t it seem peculiar that no one has never denied any allegation that I made even after I e-mail it to their office and copy dozens of other attorneys & judges.

Most citizens are afraid to admit how bad the fascism has gotten. We will elect 18 judges with in the next 3 months. The most powerful corrupt judges had no opposition (although not every unopposed judge is corrupt). I appreciate any open discussion. Unfortunately many readers will assume that you & I are the same person and that it is just a coincidence that Pat Salerno turned down the city manager’s job, Sheriff Gary Steed unexpectedly withdrew his candidacy for re-election and State SRS Director admitted that Nola Foulston’s prosecutors were pressuring social workers to file false afidavits.

I would love to hear from you

    Bill

I am sorry to report that I did not get any anonymous e-mail inquiries. I was hoping at least one Eagle reporter would be curious or courageous enough to send me an anonymous e-mail requesting that I send them scanned documents proving unethical or illegal activity by Genine Ware, Asst. Christine Ladner & Judge Pilshaw. The low level reporters at the Eagle can not overcome their denials to recognize that the Eagle dysfunctionality is the major reason why fascism & evil flourishes in Wichita.

Speaking of overcoming denials, I wrote the 2 comments today (copied at the bottom of this blog psot) to respond to an anti-Christian comment posted to Brent’s Castillo’s column and to respond to a letter to the editor which suggested that Wichita Police Chief should be Considered for the city manager’s position.

I am sure that today’s post is just another rant from a wingnut, but I am willing to expose myself to ridicule, slander lawsuits or criminal prosecution for criminal defamation by writing this blog entry is only a few Eagle reporters and a few Sedgwick County judges and attorneys read 2 more “bizarre” allegations:

I am a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Peace & social justice. Sen. Les Donovan & his wife, Missy, are Eucharistic ministers at my church. Former Mayor Carlos Mayans is also a parishioner. An acquaintance of mine told me that former Mayor Carlos Mayans told her that he was offered a $100,000 bribe while in office to stop complaining about the corruption. I reported this rumor to very credible person who called Mayans & confirmed that Mayans told him that he was offered a bribe in office (which of course mayans did not accept). In 2 separate telephone calls with me during the past years, Mayans confirmed that he was offered a bribe. As I previously wrote in a prevous blog which I wrote 2 weeks before former mayor Bob Knight had his heart attack and MGM Grand withdrew from the Sumner County casinio project with Knight & Tiller abortionist attorney, Steve Joseph, I told Knight during our telephone conversation about my discussions with his successor about the bribery allegation.

Last summer, a friend & I visited County Commissioner Kelly Parks in his office to complain about the court house corruption. Kelly told us not to send any e-mail to his county e-mail address because he thought that his e-mail was being monitored.

Assuming that the statements of Mayans & Parks can be confirmed, do we really want the next Wichita city manager be current WPD Chief Norman Williams, current county manager Bill Buchanan or his former asst. Kathi Sexton who should be aware of corruption in the county & city?? I wonder what I have to do to get my state senator, Les Donovan, to take these allegations seriously and to encourage him to visit with Carlos after church? I guess I’ll have to forward this e-mail to his collegues on the Sneate Judiciary Committee and to Rick Guinn the Assoc. State Attorney General for is responsbile for the criminal division who ironically is now running for Johnson County District Attorney. I’ll also copy Debbi Donovan who is running Bruce Brown’s campaign for Sedgwick County District Court Judge, to Les’s Democrat opponent and to Les’s colleagues on the senate judiciary committee who are already familiar with my reform effrorts. The one thing I have learned about polticians & attorneys is that they love to gossip. If Debbi is thinking about taking over Les’s seat (assuming Les is re-elected but then retires for health reasons), she needs to know about these allegations.

I also am writing to publicly thank my friends at the 11AM Bible Study at Grace Community for praying that God intercedes to expose the corruption in Wichita and soften the hearts of elected officials and jdues. Less than 24 hours after I made my prayer request, the new city manager, Pat Salerno, embarrassed Wichita by rejecting the job offer. This is providing yet another opportunity to blog about the city hall and the county courthouse corruption by floating as a trial balloon idea to have former mayor Carlos Mayans serve as interim city manager for 3 years and to remind Judge Tony Powell that many Christians are praying for him to unburying from the ground his God given talents and use his political influence to become a faithful servant of God to protect the physical & emotional health of children in Sedgwick County.

I also want to again thank Sherry for recognizing the important of free speech by allowing me to post my comments to be read. Who knows – Maybe 2 or 3 reporters at the Eagle will read this post and try to regain their dignity and self-respect by starting to ask a few questions and to demand that Pam & Sherry allow them to do their jobs.

    MY COMMENT TO BRENT’S COLUMN:
In politics, “perception is reality” I think that Wichitans & Americans in general will be forced to overcome their denials so that they will perceive things differently. Free speech is wonderful, but we all need to be careful what we wish for. M - the author of the previous post mocked Castillo for:
“using meaningless reports from phoney biased Christian foundations are beginning to get on my nerves”
“the ideas you have of the problems and the cures will only have the Grandma’s saying amen and the fathers and kids will be laughing in your face.”
“With something as obvious as broken homes produce troubled kids, maybe next week you can do a report that the sky is blue, Christian science has proven that God did it and you can tell us how.”
For his sake, I hope M is just an opinionated young person whose spiritual views will evolve as he gains more wisdom. I can report to “M” that hundreds of Christians both with in & outside of Kansas are earnestly praying that God intercedes to protect the young innocent children & to humble the hypocritical attorneys, judges, political & civic leaders who claim to be pious Christians but are only interested in building their political or financial kingdoms here in Potterville, Kansas

MY COMMENT IN RESPONSE TO LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Norman Williams for city manager??? Who is better qualified for the post than current city administrators, who already possess a working knowledge of city administration??? The Catch 22 for the city council seeking to hire a city manager to maintain the culture of graft, nepotism & corruption is that that they can not trust any one from outside of Kansas who is desperate enough to accept the job. Nor can they promote any highly visible individuals (Buchanan, Sexton, Williams) from with in their own fascist clique for fear that skeletons will stop popping out of closets. To get a fresh start and to regain the public’s trust, Wichita’s civic leaders must hire a city manager with the courage to demand transaparency & accountability. The city council & the Wichita Eagle should swallow their pride and hire former Mayor Carlos Mayans as city manager for 36 months with instructions to document and expose any current or past unethical activity. Who else would be better qualified to expose the corruption???
