I got an e-mail over the weekend from a reader who said several pages of his or her TV book were printed upside down. Several of this person’s neighbors had the same problem.
I hadn’t heard from other readers, but talked with Marcia Franklin, assistant production manager, and found out what happened. It turns out that when the TV book was printed, some plates were transposed on the press and ran for 13 minutes before someone caught it.
Not many copies got out the door, but enough that some readers on the east side got them. We apologize for the printing error and hope it didn’t interfere too badly with anyone’s TV watching.
