It’s been two weeks since we chatted live about dining, which means it’s time to do it again. Join me at 1:30 p.m. right here for chit chat about my Luca review, new restaurants, closing restaurants and any thing else you want to discuss.

After a little break, the live dining chat is back today. Come back here at 1:30 p.m. and join in for discussions about new restaurants, closing restaurants and gift ideas for the restaurant lovers on your list.
Bring a friend. See you then.
You simply must join me at 1:30 p.m. today, right here. We have lots to talk about on the live dining chat, including a long list of restaurants that have just opened and the fabulousness that is the Asian Festival.
See you in a few hours.
Please join me here at 1:30 p.m. today. And please bring everyone you know.
You may have seen the news yesterday that the Dutch Mill Bakery in Yoder closed suddenly after 32 years in business. (Anyone besides me find it too strange that the store closed during the Kansas State Fair, the very time that many people would stop in on their way into Hutchinson?)
I’ve covered the Kansas State Fair for 14 consecutive years (!!!!!) and one of the parts of that assignment I always looked forward to was that Yoder Road exit off of K-96. I almost always saw a family clopping along in a horse-drawn carriage. And I would almost always stop either at Carriage Crossing for lunch, at Yoder Meats to buy a flatiron steak, or at Dutch Mill to bring back a plate of cinnamon rolls for my co-workers. That made me very popular.
Several of my colleagues were distraught yesterday to learn of the closing of the bakery, which they count as a Kansas fixture. (I couldn’t drum up much despair on my live dining chat, however.)
How about you? Does the Dutch Mill’s demise make you depressed? Where will you get you cinnamon roll fix now?
I hope you can get to a computer at 2:30 p.m. today (NOTE: that’s an hour later than our normal Thursday appointments) for a live dining chat. I want to talk about Kwan Court, Chinese buffets and new restaurants on the way. And as always, I’ll entertain whatever other lil’ ole thing you want to discuss.
Please say you’ll join me.
I’m back with a live chat at 1:30 p.m. today, and I’ll have a special guest.
Tanya Tandoc, who announced yesterday that she’d be reopening her much-loved Tanya’s Soup Kitchen, has agreed to hop on that chat at 2 p.m.
But don’t let that stop you from joining me for the first half hour. There’s much to discuss.
