A whole mess of food trucks, including the newly re-wrapped Rip’s Rib Shak, will be serving at Friday’s Tunes + Tallgrass on the Terrace.

No need to wait for the official food truck meetup on the last Sunday of the month.

Many of Wichita’s favorite mobile food vendors will be at the Wichita Art Museum on Friday for an event called Tunes + Tallgrass on the Terrace, sponsored by the Tallgrass Film Association.

It starts at 6 p.m., when several food trucks will start serving, including B.S. Sandwich PressLet’m Eat Brats, The Flying Stove, Rips Rib Shak and Kona Ice.

The Muse, WAM’s Cafe, will provide a cash bar, too. All the vendors will be on Pine Street north of the museum.

Mel Hambelton Ford also will provide free Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches out of its own ice cream truck.

The event also will include a 7 p.m. performance by The Whiskey Misters from Tulsa and a 9 p.m. screening of the 1969 movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

Attendees should bring blankets, camp chairs and cash for food and drink. Admission is free.
