Jerseys Grill and Bar has reopened at 3213 N. Toben.

Wichita has gained two new bars over the last couple of weeks, and an old one has reopened after closing down for a couple of months.

Cleats Sports Bar & Grill just opened a week ago in the old Shenanigans space at 1014 N. West St. The bar, owned by former Chalet owner Evan Spicer and his partner Shaun Colliatie, has lots of television sets for sports viewing and bar games such as pool and darts. Its menu features stuffed burgers, and a popular one so far is one that’s stuffed with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. The bar is open from 11 a.m. till 2 a.m. daily and serves food until 10 p.m. For more information, call Cleats at 316-201-1627.

Cross Eyed Cricket Tavern is another bar that just opened last weekend. It’s at 1110 W. Harry in the space that previously held Duke’s Bar and Grill. The business is owned by Hunter Weast, who always dreamed of opening a bar. He’s a fan of country singer Eric Church, who has a song that references a bar called the Cross Eyed Cricket, so Weast always knew that’s what he’d call his bar. He describes it as a relaxed neighborhood bar, and within a week, he plans to start serving hot and cold sandwiches. He compares his menu to The Artichoke’s. The bar is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 11 p.m. on Sundays. Call 316-303-9300 for more information.

And Jerseys Grill & Bar at 3213 N. Toben, which closed in December because of a lapsed liquor license, reopened a few weeks ago with an updated interior, including a big new bar, and an updated menu. The restaurant has added flatbreads, new appetizers and several salads and also installed a shuffleboard table. Jerseys is putting its popular sand volleyball leagues together now and plans to reopen the court soon. Information on the leagues is available at the restaurant’s website. The bar opens at 11 a.m. daily and closes at varying times but stays open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call 316-636-5000.
