The Kansas State Fair is an interesting culinary creature. It offers a perfect mix of strange stunt foods, such as this year’s deep fried Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies, and traditional favorites, such as the chicken and noodles that have been sold for years by South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. I love eating at the fair and generally relish my yearly job testing out the new foods. I LOVED last year’s red velvet funnel cake, and at some point during each fair, I always have to have a cheese enchilada from the Our Lady of Guadalupe booth in Cottonwood Court.
