Ground breaking today for west Chick-fil-A

Just when you thought the local Chick-fil-Hype had subsided … nope.

Owner/operator Jason Lansdown will officially break ground this morning on the west side stand-alone Chick-fil-A, scheduled to open in July at 10515 W. 21st St. (right at the corner of 21st and Maize.) The 10 a.m. VIP ceremony will have city officials, dancing cows and chicken excitement to spare.

The new restaurant will have a 4,275 square-foot interior that seats 144 and a play area for kids. Another camp out will be staged the night before it opens, guaranteeing free Chick-fil-A for a year to the first 100 people though the door.
