Intrust Bank Arena’s ticket sales ranked 26th by Pollstar

Intrust Bank Arena finished the first half of 2013 ranked 26th in the U.S. market for ticket sales, according to Pollstar, a weekly trade magazine for the concert industry.

The arena, managed by SMG General, was ranked 55th in the world, according to a news release from SMG.

The rankings reflect tickets sold worldwide for shows played between Jan. 1 and June 30.

A.J. Boleski, SMG general manager at Intrust arena, hailed the rankings, and in a statement said they reflect both the high quality of concerts booked for the venue and the willingness of Wichita area residents to support the shows and events.

In the first half of 2013, Intrust arena was host to 11 of the top 100 worldwide tours, including Cirque du Soleil, Harlem Globetrotters, Sesame Street Live, Kid Rock, Disney On Ice, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, WWE and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Upcoming events include Taylor Swift (Aug. 6 ), Rascal Flatts (Aug. 9), Luke Bryan (Sept. 12), Blake Shelton (Oct. 5), Eagles (Oct. 7), Oklahoma City Thunder NBA exhibition game (Oct. 23) and the Wichita Wildcat Classic (Dec. 21).
