Wichita welcomes rabbit breeders from across North America this week as the American Rabbit Breeders Association holds its national convention at Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.
According to a news release from Go Wichita, about 3,500 hundred people and more than 21,000 rabbits and cavies – which include such animals as guinea pigs – are in Wichita for the event.
The association’s membership ranges from people who raise one or two rabbits at a time as pets to commercial breeders.
The convention, in its 89th year, ends Wednesday.
