ISG Technology is developing a new data center at 3700 W. May, according to a spokeswoman for the company.
The center will be the third in ISG’s “network,” and the company hopes to have it online by Oct. 1, said Amy Koehler.
The data center will occupy 900 square feet in a larger building and will offer businesses the ability to co-locate production systems, have off-site disaster recovery or the option of running systems in ISG’s “Cloud.”
“This is one of the biggest shifts in the IT industry as businesses look to move away from managing and upgrading their own IT equipment so they can focus on running their business,” said John Gunn, ISG president, in a news release.
The company also operates data centers in Columbia, Mo., and Kansas City.
ISG doesn’t anticipate immediately adding staff, but plans will depend on customer growth, Koehler said.
