Lowe’s helps out with Habitat building project

Habitat for Humanity’s Wichita organization is planning an all-women’s build, which will start Aug. 21.

To help participants gain the skills they need to build a house, Lowe’s home improvement store on South Ridge Road is hosting a how-to clinic Tuesday evening. Volunteers will get some basic training on everything from painting techniques to hanging drywall.

Lowe’s, a national home improvement store chain, recently provided the local Habitat chapter with a $40,000 grant.

Habitat’s all-women’s build is scheduled to run from Aug. 21 to Sept. 15. For more information about the project, call 316-2690755 or go to wichitahabitat.com
